🕡 Meeting Time: 6:30 PM
🍽 Dinner Available: Picnic will start at 5:30 pm, and the meeting/program will start at 6:30 pm. For the Summer months, we will return to the White Deer Station at 145 Depot Road in White Deer for our meetings. We will have a Picnic Meal with the grill fired up, with the chapter providing the hot dogs and hamburgers, rolls, drinks, plates, and utensils. Members are requested to bring a side dish to share. All are welcome, please invite a friend and come out for a great program on Conrail by Fred Leer from the Harrisburg Chapter NRHS.

🎞 Evening Program: Bicentennial Locomotives By Tim Bitner

Program: Tim Bittner will present a PowerPoint program starting off the Nation’s semi-quincentennial year with a look back at our nation’s 200th birthday in
1976, when over 200 diesel locomotives were painted some combination of red, white, and blue, and the nation celebrated everything American. Using photos from Tim’s collection, he will show several bicentennial locomotives from different railroads, many of which no longer exist. Tim will also include some of the 2026 patriotic painted locomotives already out on the rails. The PowerPoint program will end with a look back over Conrail’s 50-year history.
